Stick around because, in this post, I’ve got a spring-themed memory game that’s perfect for young children. I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to make this printable game—after all, it’s such a fun way to keep little ones busy while also helping them work on their fine motor skills, critical thinking, and memory skills. If your kids love these memory-matching games like our son did, they’ll have a blast with this spring themed memory game.

It comes with eight pairs of cards featuring spring images like rain clouds, tulips, butterflies, a rainbow, and more. This spring game is a great way to keep little ones busy if you need quiet time, need time to make dinner or want a rainy day activity that doesn’t include screen time.

Benefits of Playing Memory Games

Memory games are such a fun and easy way to give little brains a workout. They help kids strengthen their memory skills, concentration, and critical thinking while also working on things like matching and visual recognition. And let’s not forget that flipping over cards and trying to find the matching pair is also great for fine motor skills. Overall, it’s a fantastic way to keep them busy while also being a great activity.

How to Play

To play, just lay out all the cards face down, take turns flipping over two at a time, and see if they match. If they do, you keep them. If not, flip them back over and try to remember where they are for your next turn. The objective is to find a matching pair. It’s such a simple game, but it’s always a hit with kids.

This printable game is perfect for younger kids, but older children can join in, too. If you want to make it a bit more challenging, just print out another copy—this way, you’ll have sixteen instead of eight pairs of matching cards.

Download the Spring Memory Game Printable

Click the PDF link at the bottom of the post to download the printable. Print as many as you like, and let the fun begin. The printable is meant to be printed on 8.5 x 11 paper.

If you’re printing this on regular paper, you’ll notice that one page has a design. This helps prevent the cards from being see-through when laid face down. When printing make sure to select double-sided printing in your printer settings. If your printer doesn’t have that option, or you want sturdier cards, printing on cardstock is a great alternative.

This printable is for personal and classroom use only. Feel free to print as many copies as you’d like, but please don’t share or sell the files. If someone else wants a copy, send them to this post to download it. Thanks for your support!
