Easy and Fun Dinosaur Scavenger Hunt Printable for Children

If you’ve got a kid who’s into dinosaurs, you’re gonna want to stick around—I’ve got a dinosaur scavenger hunt printable that kids are going to love. There’s just something about scavenger hunts that’s so much fun. Maybe it’s the excitement of searching for stuff or that feeling when you actually find it. I’m not really sure what it is, but our son used to have a blast when I’d hide his toys around the house and let him go search for them. So of course, I had to make a scavenger hunt that would be a great activity for a rainy day or even a dinosaur birthday party, whatever the case is your kids will absolutely love playing it.

How to Play the Dinosaur Scavenger Hunt

This dinosaur scavenger hunt is super easy to play and a lot of fun for kids. It’s basically a simple checklist with 12 dinosaur-themed pictures—things like a tyrannosaurus rex, dinosaur fossils, footprints, and more. Kids will look around the house, yard, or wherever you’re playing and try to find each item on the list. When they come across one have them check it off and move onto the next one.

The best part? You can play it over and over again. Just switch up where you hide the items each time to keep it fresh. It’s a great way to keep the kids busy, and they’ll love the challenge of finding everything again in new spots. The kids can play by themselves or in a team if there’s a lot of young children that might be a good idea but otherwise it’s not really necessary.

You don’t need much to use this dinosaur scavenger hunt, but here are a few optional supplies that might be helpful.
